HOME BUILDING STUDENTS IN ACTION

Things are rarely quiet with the Home Building program lead by instructor Barry “Ben” Molloy. This week has been no exception! The students were pouring concrete at the home site they have been working on. With 17 students as well as the concrete crew, everyone was on hand to make sure this process went smoothly.

All of these students have a hand in every aspect of the construction including some of the actual design work. They are involved in all aspects of the construction phases and problem solving when issues might arise.

The house, located at 4000 SE 24th Ct, has been an ongoing project that takes approximately 2 school years to finish. Once this house is done, it is sold and the proceeds are then used to purchase another house for the Home Building program.
