Of the four students who will represent Iowa at the National Council on Youth Leadership conference in St. Louis next month, two are from Des Moines Public Schools as well as from Central Campus and Central Academy!

Tascha Brown, currently School Improvement Leader at Roosevelt High School, will be the next director of Central Campus. She takes over for Aiddy Phomvisay, who left Central Campus to pursue graduate work full time. There are more than 1,500 seniors in Des Moines Public Schools poised to graduate later this month, but Richard Link is not among them, even though he’s 76 years old. He’s a freshman – in the Central Campus Aviation Technology Academy. Click on the headline to read more about his journey.
