Over the past few years, enrollment in AP courses has increased by as much as 900% at some DMPS schools, the number of AP exams taken has doubled, and for the first time ever all five DMPS high schools are ranked on the Iowa AP Index. Congratulations to Larry Beall of Central Campus, who was honored by the U.S. Green Building Council as a “Trailblazing Teacher.” He was recognized for his work at teaching about energy and environmental issues, including his creation of the Iowa Energy and Sustainability Academy.
