BOOKING A HELPING HAND

Most people take for granted the ability to have books. Seems simple enough! But Stowe Elementary realized hundreds of children did not have access books for themselves. Books that are so essential to their learning and progress.

Stowe decided to fix that issue.

As part of their Summer Reading program each child is given a book that is theirs to keep. In the pictures shown these books are being printed, folded and bound by students from Teacher Academy from Central Campus which is taught by Dr. Teresa Peterson. Ms. Heetland from Stowe is one of many teachers lending a helping hand

Stowe is in partnership with Teacher Academy to help integrate young people seeking to take on teaching as a profession.
