Ralph Young welding instructor here at Central Campus was honored last night at the “Excellence in Apprenticeship Award Ceremony” hosted by the Mechanical Contracting Industry Development Fund and Central Iowa Chapter Mechanical Contractors Association of Iowa Inc.

Ralph received the Nick Flater Ambassador Award for his continued commitment to educating students with excellence and performance through Plumber & Steamfitters Local#33. Although Ralph is not a member of Local#33, he has supported the apprenticeship program by providing good students and believes in the work and training process of producing good welders.

Also former student of Ralph’s, Kort Kern was honored as well for his outstanding leadership and performance in the classroom.
